A
Paragliding Dream
Along
with the family I went skiing in Switzerland in order to get
away from the boring everyday city life and stress for a weekend.
Being a passionate snowboarder, I was really looking forward
to this long weekend in order for me to get a feel of the snow
again before my long trip to go heliskiing in Alaska and Canda.
Even
better, while snowboarding in Crans Montana I was confronted
with the beauty of a new sport: paragliding. Not that I
had never heard of it before nor thought of it as a cool
sport but I never quite had seen it like I did this winter.
After a nice 'matinee' of descending the slopes with mom and
bro' we went up to the main restaurant situated on top of the
main mountain in order to absorb some sun and food….Cheese fondue
'swiss style'! Kind of heavy for lunch but hey ...along with
a nice bottle of 'Fendant' (swiss white wine) one feels on holiday
in no time!

Apart
from the fact that it was already a nice day , topped with the
great food and company, I cannot express the sensation when
suddenly a paraglider goes flying by our heads, just above the
restaurant. A gentle noise makes us aware of existence and he/she
simply goes on gliding across the valley.
Everybody around the restaurant turns towards the 'bird' and
admires its flight.

I was astonished. I could really feel for the glider…a certain
feeling of freedom and the 'flying' 'gliding' sensation had
to be amazing. I simply felt I had to try paragliding at one
point or the other in my life.
After staring at the glider through all its flight, I was pleased
to see that there were a couple more coming our way from the
top of the mountain.
So I just stared some more...and a new dream was born.
